Shane will definitely never forget the moment Ellie told him that she was pregnant. As a clever means of making the moment special, Ellie waited until right after the Eagles, Shane’s favorite team, won the Super Bowl! Talk about memorable!

On September 4^th, 2018, little Delilah Jeanne was born and only 12 days later I got to meet her in my private studio for her newborn photography session.

Ellie is a musician, Shane is an Eagles fan and Delilah’s room is nautical themed – this made for a fun and prop-filled photo session including a tiny pink piano of mine that may or may not have gotten pooped on during the session. We all had a good laugh at that!

Sweet Lilah, as her parents lovingly call her, was so easy-going and calm during the newborn session. Ellie did warn me, however, that although Delilah loves to be held, rocked and cuddled, she also loves to eat and her demeanor may change if Mom isn’t quick enough to feed her!

Ellie and Shane were so well prepared for the photography session, making sure Lilah was fed and sleepy. They brought along a beautiful headband Ellie’s mother had given to her that ended up matching all of the outfits as well an outfit with a tutu, bunny tail and ears. Super cute!

Ellie shared with me a quote that describes her and Shane’s life since Delilah’s arrival:

“Of all the children that ever could be, you are the one made just for me.” (Zack Bush)

The quote is from a children’s book that Ellie bought for Shane during the pregnancy and, after meeting this family, I couldn’t agree more.
