Introducing Miss Evelyn James!

Mom and Dad’s session experience began with a brisk winter belly session at the Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, PA.  Mom says she wasn’t feeling pretty, in fact she says she was feeling large and puffy so it was nice that I could help her feel beautiful and also direct her in a way that helped her look good in her maternity photos!

It’s always such a great experience getting to know families before the big day, and this time was no exception.  After meeting this beautiful, fun couple in person, it was even more exciting when I finally met Evie after her grand arrival.

As you can see from her adorable baby pictures below, Evie and I had a really great newborn session together.  Before their session, all her mom, Phi had to do was to feed her and change her diaper – it was their first outing so they were excited!

Evie slept part of the way through her 4 hour session. Mom mentioned ” I kept thinking that she won’t sleep, darn it, that made me nervous. It seemed like she was irritated and so upset. But Kim was such a pro and made me feel so much better about Evie being “uncooperative”.”   But Evie did great, she was perfect awake or asleep.

Because the shoot ended up with so many fantastic images, I asked Phi if she would share one helpful piece of advice with other mothers planning a newborn session. Her biggest piece of advice is: “I was worried about getting good photos, about her pooping and peeing and she did poop and pee but Kim didn’t even let that phase her.”  Haha!  True story!  ;-)
