It’s true that part of me falls in love with each baby and family that I meet and photograph. However, this story lies a bit closer to my heart and involves a precious little being named Logan.
Born to my son Ryan and his wife Cheryl, Logan is my first grandson! He was born on September 25th at 7:02 am. Cheryl’s due date was originally September 15th but was changed to September 21st. Needless to say, we were all on high alert for most of the month. When Cheryl did go into labor, in the middle of the night, I went to their house to stay with Mackenzie and Lilly.
Cheryl told me that within the first hour of being born, Logan had found his thumb and was sucking on it! Both she and Ryan couldn’t believe how absolutely perfect Logan was and they were very excited and happy to meet them.
Logan’s newborn session was split into two days – the first session was with just Cheryl and Logan since the girls were at school. We held his second newborn session on the weekend so Ryan and the girls could have portraits done as well.
There’s something about his shy smile and tiny dimple that made my heart flutter as I posed and positioned him for the sweetest shots – a mini football uniform, a cookie pan and Gingerbread man outfit and, of course, the most beautiful images of tiny Logan with this loving Mom, Dad and proud older sisters.
Logan will be coming back to the studio once a month to do monthly sticker photos as well as a collection of milestone photographs. We all have lots of plans for future sessions!
Welcome to the world, sweet Logan. Mimi loves you.
