There’s something magical about watching a beautiful family grow – I remember like it was yesterday when Melissa and Mike brought their precious newborn Ava to my studio for her newborn photography session. It’s hard to believe that was two years ago.

I got to know Melissa, Mike and Ava quite well as I continued to photograph Ava’s milestone sessions throughout her first year of life. I was delighted to learn that another addition would be gracing my studio and I was excited to meet sweet little Aubrey.

Ava was born in Flemington, NJ, on September 23^rd – almost two days after Melissa had gone into labor. Mike was with her for the big moment and the couple was soon joined by Ava, Grandma and Grandpa Matson and Grandma and Nonno Battisti. As Melissa describes the experience: “It was so worth the wait!”

“Love you to the moon and back!”

Donned in light pinks and dusty roses, Aubrey was a delight to photograph and we had the best time including big sister Ava in some shots as well! Aubrey was a superstar as we placed her in beautiful props such as a wreath of flowers, a fluffy tutu and even surrounded by a cascade of her mother’s hair.

This family certainly proves that there is not only magic in their growth – but in their love as well.
