For Melisa and Kevin, Mother’s Day took on an all new meaning this year. On the evening of May 14^th, they welcomed Kevin Eric Jr. into their lives. This bundle of joy arrived at 9lbs 2 oz with both Mom and Dad present.

Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring not only the mother of the family, but also motherhood, maternal bonds and the influences of mothers in society. A woman’s first Mother’s Day is an exciting event, so giving birth to a child on this day is both monumental and memorable.

This source of double celebration is important for the father as well – he gets to experience the wonderful transformation of wife, partner and best friend into mother and the change from couple to family. It is truly a wonderful occasion for both mother and father.
